I always thought of this as a milk mug. Considering how much I hate milk, I am sure I never actually used it as such. Still, its unusual appearance didn't go unnoticed and a few months ago I swiped it from the back of my mom's cupboard lest she decide it should go in a donation box. Certainly it's gone unused for more than 20 years. The bottom has a company imprint on it which reads, "Whirley Industries, Inc. Warren, Penna., USA Patents Pending."
I discovered it was a creamer after googling that info and finding a similar one for sale on ebay!
